Parol Program Christmas Card Making on November 20, 2010 at Uncle Mike's Place Print
Tuesday, 02 November 2010 09:37
Come start the holiday season early with us and send some Christmas cheer to Filipino elders!

The Parol Program, an annual collaboration of the Filipino American Community Health Initiative of Chicago (FACHIC) and Filipino American Network Chicago (FAN), will be making and decorating Christmas cards to be sent with winter safety information to elders in our community and we need your help to make it fun for us and special for everyone. And just because they will be sent to elders doesn't mean we don't need elders to help decorate.  Children are welcome too!

UNCLE MIKE'S PLACE
1700 W Grand Ave (2 streets west of Ashland)
Chicago, IL
Saturday November 20, 2010
2 PM - 5 PM

Uncle Mike's Place (http://unclemikesplace.com/) is generously donating the space for the event but the diner closes at 3 pm so come early for lunch or Filipino Breakfast (longanisa, tocino, Spam) and help support a Filipino owned business.

WHAT TO BRING
We will have Christmas cards and the (boring) basics like markers and pens so along with your Christmas spirit, feel free to bring any other decorating or crafty things (ink & stamps and beads but keep easy cleanup in mind).

If you have any questions, please contact Sam del Rosario at (312) 869-2726 or parol@fachic.org.  RSVP not required but encouraged.
